U.S.-born panda finds double happiness in China
BEIJING (Reuters) - A U.S.-born giant panda has given birth to twin cubs in a research centre in southwest China, state media reported on Tuesday, its third pair of twins so far.
Eight-year-old Huamei, whose name means "China America," gave birth to the first cub at Sichuan province's Wolong Nature Reserve early on Monday, Xinhua news agency said.
The second, a male weighing 129.8 grams, came three hours later.
The first cub's gender and weight have yet to be established, but both the cubs and mother were doing well, Xinhua quoted Li Desheng, vice-director of the reserve's research centre, as saying.
The cubs are the third pair delivered by Huamei, who gave birth to twins in 2004 and 2005 since returning to the motherland in February 2004, the agency said.
Huamei is the first giant panda to have been born and survived in the western hemisphere since 1990, Xinhua said.
An estimated 1,600 wild pandas live in nature reserves n China's Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi provinces. China keeps about 210 in captivity.
Breeding pandas in captivity is extremely hard. Females only ovulate once a year, with a slim 24- to 48-hour window for breeding when artificial reproduction methods are usually adopted.
Pandas eat bamboo shoots and spend a lot of time sleeping. They usually wean their young at around 18 months, and healthy pandas live into their late 20s or early 30s.

A Mayonnaise Jar & 2 Cups Of Coffee
A friend of mine sent me this letter. I find it quite true though. Sometimes in life, we unconsciously see little things as big deal and neglecting things, people that we should take care and spend time with. Well, are you one of us?
When things in your life seem almost too much too handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full they agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar . Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things- your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions--things that if everything else was lost and only they remained your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.
The sand is everything else -- the small stuff.
If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal."
Take care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.
The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."
Avenging Elephant Herd Kills Villager In North Bengal
An elephant herd that was attacked by villagers on the India-Nepal border last Tuesday night chased and killed a villager in north Bengal Friday.
Wildlife experts said it could be a revenge attack by the herd that was tormented by villagers at Bamandangi in Jhapa district of Nepal. A female elephant was killed and its molar teeth, tails, nails and private parts were chopped off recently. One of the elephants was also injured in the incident.

I love Rainbow. The mix of the seven colours are just so beautiful! Never seen such a pretty mix of rainbow and cloud! The local news referred to it as a "sundog".An ice halo saying "They form when sunlight passes through thin, cirrus clouds composed of ice crystals."

The post that I spend the longest time!
Today, I have spent almost 4 hours to post one post. The longest in my history of blogging and yet the most satisfied post ever. Reason being I love those pictures, they represent a very moment that we normally never paid attention to. With one second faster or slower, the look will be completely different. And it delivers the message without a word. How amazing is that?
And I receive the pictures from a friend with all the Chinese illustration. Well, I tried to find the English version, unexpectedly, no sign of any exist. So, well, I will have to “try” to translate the message into English. When Lovers become "Friends"
Do you think lovers can become friends even after they break up? The answer could be yes and no. Because no one knows when or how long will it take for them to become friends again. It is all depend on how well can you adapt to the break up. But one thing I am pretty sure is, if the couple break up caused by the 3rd party intruder, the chance is almost 0%. The relationship is already contaminated by lie and trust is broken.
For those who can still be friend with their ex-lovers, they are either have lost the feeling completely and just waiting for either one to bring up the break up. Since there is no more love, there is no harm to let the other party go because neither of them will lose anything. And those after break up, one of them trying hard to keep the relationship, and unfortunately, mostly are girls who still want to be friends. No matter how cold the treatment from the man, the lady will still choose to drag and avoid the fact that that is not working.
There is nothing wrong to maintain the friendship after break up, but do not ever hope for any miracle to happen. When the guy suggested to be friend, and still going out as normal but just as a friend, do not ever mistaken that is something going on. Because you should understand that when either one of them find another partner, the relationship will definitely going to be changed. No matter how logical you are, you cannot cheat your feeling and emotion. When you call up the guy as usual and invite him for a dinner, but he is already eating and rushing to hang up, by right, there is nothing to be upset about. But the fact is, the moment you hang up the phone, the hopeless and feeling of lose are so unbearable. That is something you should be scared about, because you are upset with a supposed to be a meaningless phone call, you might ask yourself, how logical you think you are and maybe you are trapping yourself into something dangerous.
Can a guy and a gal really be a good friend, when they are seeing each other almost everyday? I don’t know. Do you know?

Apes going Ape!
A family visit to the zoo proved more entertaining than usual at the Gorilla Enclosure. The Silverback started trouble and bit off more than he could chew with the females and juveniles. It is so funny!
